Meet Pawsha
Large pink circle surrounded by small pink hearts.

I'm thrilled to introduce a very special member of our team: Pawsha, our office cat! With her soft fur, gentle purrs, and knack for making people smile, she brings a little extra warmth and comfort to our therapy space.

Pawsha’s presence is more than just adorable. Her calming demeanour creates a warm, welcoming environment where you can feel at ease. Whether she’s curling up nearby or offering a gentle nuzzle, she is here to remind you that you are safe to show up just as you are.

Pawsha enjoys having a day off too! If you prefer that she not be in the office during our sessions please let me know. I want you to feel comfortable in our therapy space.

Healing With Purrs

Before I found my forever home with Kim, I had a bit of a rough start. I roamed the streets of Chatham, Ontario, with a group of other cats. We were injured, sick, and in pretty bad shape. Luckily, some kind humans rescued us and brought us to a veterinarian who helped us heal. Back then, everyone assumed I was a little too wild to enjoy indoor life. But guess what? They were so wrong!

It turns out, I absolutely adore being around people. I couldn’t get enough of chin scratches, cozy naps, and snuggling with the volunteers at the shelter. I’m a complete softie at heart! Even when they said I was ready to go back outside, I just couldn’t give up all that love and comfort. Not long after, Kim came into my life and decided to bring me home. Best decision she’s ever made, if you ask me! Now, I’m living the dream, spreading warmth and happiness wherever I go.

If you’d like, I can join you during your therapy sessions with Kim! I might curl up near you, nap on your lap (my absolute favourite spot), or just hang around so you can pet me while you chat. I’m here to help make sure you feel as comfortable and supported as possible. After all, I take my unofficial therapy duties very seriously… even if I also take lots of catnaps on the job!

I live and work on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Anishnaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Lenni Lenape, and allied Nations. I affirm and honour the Three Fires Confederacy—which includes the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi peoples—as well as the Huron/Wendat Peoples. I acknowledge and respect the deep stewardship of these lands by Indigenous communities since time immemorial, as well as those caring for it today and the generations yet to come.
